DOWN THE BACKSTREETS (DEAD END/YOGA)

This series of 16 drawings shows humans and animals in the narrow conditions of a backyard in central perspective. The domestic or tamed wild animals are metaphors for the way we treat or instincts, get trained, conditioned, formed in the society. Watch out for the "Monument for Anything" that appears in some drawings. A symbol for the common history it gets functionalized, becomes "reindividualized" again. The installation and floor artwork was a collaboration with artist Corinne L.Rusch. 2008.
