S_T_I_L_L_E

This work is based on the Lorm Alphabet for deafblind people. Letters are formed by touching the palm of the hand, here they stand for the German word "Stille" (engl. silence). The hand of the artist serves as a model, which links back again to the occupation of drawing itself and the hand with its tactile functions as a means of expression. The focus is on the circumstances of producing art and its creation as well as on how communication is established between the artist/artwork and its viewers.
